The Rising Popularity of ChatGPT Among Small Business Owners

Date:

ChatGPT is gaining increasing attention among small business owners. When I started my entrepreneurship journey more than a decade ago, my promotional activities were much different from how it is done by entrepreneurs nowadays. Back then, I heavily relied on press and tv promotion. However, ever since Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok made their appearance, advertising shifted towards influencers. With the evolution of technology, companies have learned to use it for their benefit. Consequently, this is where ChatGPT comes into play.

ChatGPT is a chatbot developed by OpenAI that follows instructions from users and is sharply intelligent in providing responses. While many think that it could replace jobs, I believe it could be used to enhance the effectiveness of marketing. This platform was released in November 2019, and it took only 5 days for it to reach one million users. Its uniqueness rests in its practicality and ability to save time; this is why small business owners find it ideal for their publicity needs.

ChatGPT can be used to create content for websites, email newsletters, as well as social media posts. It could generate ideas in the desired tone and persona. Content is essential for business growth, therefore producing it in a timely manner is indispensable. Additionally, this technology can produce client surveys, creating opportunities to better understand the target audience.

This is where the individual I originally mentioned above comes in. As a business consultant and business owner, she is aware of the importance of having accurate and timely marketing strategy. Moreover, she strongly underlines that entrepreneurs should embrace technological advances in order to succeed. Lastly, she advises to never forget proper customer service, as people need to be aware of the quality of the product and value it. For this reason, ChatGPT could be used for customer service too by generating chatbots for website presence or imagining campaigns to increase sales.

All things considered, small businesses have been drawn to ChatGPT because it helps them market their companies in an effective, time efficient, and cost-effective manner. Despite that, entrepreneurs have to be careful not to depend on it for arduous activities like formulating their marketing strategy, researching in-depth marketing operations, or maintaining comprehensive business promotion websites. Nonetheless, its capacities are ever evolving, and entrepreneurs may learn to rely on it even more in the future.
