Title: HONOR 90 Smartphone Arrives in Europe with Impressive Camera and Display
HONOR is making good on its promise to bring its latest flagship mid-range smartphone, the HONOR 90, from China to Europe. While it’s classified as mid-range, the device offers much more than meets the eye. With a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display and a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels, the phone delivers a stunning visual experience. Its refresh rate can go as high as 120 Hz, and it supports HDR10 Plus for exceptional video playback.
One of the most intriguing features of the HONOR 90’s screen is its robust set of eye-protection measures. It features the Circadian Night Display technology found in the HONOR Magic 5 Pro, which filters out blue light and promotes natural melatonin secretion to improve sleep quality. Additionally, Dynamic Dimming simulates natural light to alleviate eye fatigue. The phone boasts the industry’s highest Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Dimming frequency of 3840Hz, reducing eye strain at low brightness.
The back of the phone features a powerful three-camera system, spearheaded by a massive 200MP lens—similar to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s camera resolution. However, the other two lenses, a 12MP ultra-wide and macro lens along with a 2MP depth sensor, are not as powerful. Unfortunately, the device lacks a telephoto option, which might affect the quality of zoomed-in photographs.
Under the hood, the HONOR 90 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition, offering improved GPU and AI performance compared to its predecessor. The phone also features a 147% larger vapor chamber to keep it cool—an upgrade mainly targeted towards gamers seeking an optimal gaming experience.
For casual users, the HONOR 90 comes with a large 5000mAh battery that can power the device for up to 19.5 hours of continuous local video streaming on a single charge. It also supports 66W HONOR SuperCharge, enabling a 15-minute charge to bring the battery back up to 45%.
UK customers have the option to choose between two models of the HONOR 90, each with varying hardware specifications. The £449.99 model offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the £499.99 option upgrades to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Customers can select from Emerald Green or Midnight Black colors. However, if you visit an HONOR store in-person, the phone is also available in Diamond Silver.
EU residents have the same choices, with the 8GB RAM version priced at €549 and the 12GB RAM version priced at €599.
There is no information currently available about the availability of the HONOR 90 in other countries like the US or Australia, nor do we have any details about a potential release of the Honor 90 Pro. We have reached out to HONOR for more information and will update this story accordingly.
