Tesla, the renowned electric vehicle giant, has introduced a 30-day free trial for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software to customers. This trial allows customers to experience the capabilities of the software, which aims to achieve fully autonomous driving in the future. Currently, the software functions as a driver assistance system that requires active driver supervision.
Rohan Patel, Tesla’s Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development, encouraged users to take advantage of the free trial of Supervised FSD and highlighted the impressive progress made by the company in artificial intelligence. He mentioned that the trial will give users a taste of the software’s potential, whether they choose to continue using it or not.
While the free trial is currently only available in the U.S., Patel mentioned that it will soon be extended to Canada. Tesla CEO Elon Musk had previously announced the free trial and directed employees to ensure the installation and demonstration of the latest FSD version to customers before vehicle delivery.
Musk shared his optimism about the future of FSD, stating that it will soon show significant improvements every two weeks. He emphasized the importance of vehicle autonomy in determining Tesla’s market value, highlighting its potential impact on the company’s success.
In a bid to enhance customer experience and showcase the capabilities of its FSD software, Tesla’s decision to offer a complimentary 30-day trial reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the electric vehicle industry.
