Tata Elxsi Ltd, a technology services provider for automotive and transportation industry, announced that it has entered into a collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G).Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Tata Elxsi and IIT-G will jointly develop and commercialize solutions related to electric mobility. This collaboration will combine researchers and experts to explore material science, digital twins, and advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
In particular, this collaborative agreement will focus on building fault analysis solutions which can be utilized by vehicle operators, OEMs, and system suppliers in the transportation industry.
Tata Elxsi CEO and MD Manoj Raghavan commented on the collaboration and believes that the best minds from both Tata Elxsi and IIT-G will be able to envision and develop solutions for the ever-evolving electric mobility sector.
Moreover, IIT Guwahati’s Officiating Director Parameswar K Iyer said that there is an essential need to create more future-ready solutions in the Electric Vehicle (EV) automotive and transportation industry. This shared knowledge between IIT Guwahati researchers and Tata Elxsi team will help in building a research ecosystem in this field, ultimately contributing towards the Government of India’s vision of making India self-reliant.
