Einride and PepsiCo Forge Partnership to Take Electric Trucks to U.K. Freight Sector

Einride, a Swedish-based autonomous and electric trucking company, is expanding its presence in the UK. Together with PepsiCo's snack-food subsidiary Walkers, Einride aims to reduce the 1.6 billion tonnes of goods transported by road freight in the UK annually by using electric trucks. Pilot runs are taking place between Leicester and Coventry, with planned extensions to other major cities in the Midlands including London. Einride has already collaborated with other notable companies such as Electrolux in Germany and GE Appliances in the US. This move marks Einride's progress in establishing a "freight mobility grid" on busy freight routes.

Dell Founder Claims Customers Want it to Stop Relying on China

Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies, is exploring opportunities to diversify their component sourcing outside of China to avoid potential supply chain disruptions. Dell will reduce the use of ‘made in China’ chips in their electronic products by 2024, and have invested in chip production in Europe and the US. Dell's end of year figures show decreasing sales in PC, so diversifying supply chain could help increase sales.

GoDaddy has made it easier for small businesses to accept payments with their mobile app, offering free Apple Tap to Pay technology. Now businesses in the US can download the app and accept contactless payments using debit/credit cards and digital wallets like Apple Pay.
