Oracle partners with Toronto-based AI startup, Cohere, to offer enterprise customers an alternative method to build generative AI apps using their own data. Cohere raised $270M in a series C funding round, with big tech names including NVIDIA, Salesforce Ventures, and SentinelOne. Oracle will be embedding Cohere's AI technology, and Cohere will use Oracle's cloud to train, build, and deploy its AI models. This partnership looks similar to Microsoft's investment in OpenAI, but Cohere is designed for enterprise customers, allowing them to use their own data to train their AI models without sharing it.
