ChatGPT is the new AI tool that's shaking up the world of computational material science. Zijian Hong, professor of Material Science & Engineering at Zhejiang University in China and paper author assessed the three major steps of a computational materials task: building an atomic model, coding for software & programming for data visualization - and found its output to be accurate. 20 days later, when accessed again, the tool provided output which was more accurate than before.
