Leading AI researcher and cognitive scientist Ben Goertzel has warned that ChatGPT and its future versions have potential to replace many tasks currently done by humans. BlueFocus, a Chinese public relations and marketing agency, is at the forefront of this technological shift with the adoption of generative AI tools like ChatGPT. As chatbot apps become more popular, Goertzel believes today's computer networks and multi-GPU server farms are capable of mimicking general AI. While this could replace some jobs, those that require human contact will remain safeguarded from automation.

China's military has recently sparked a debate on the use of ChatGPT technology coined by American firm OpenAI. Mao Weihao, a lecturer for the Army Command College in Nanjing, believes ChatGPT could be used in peacetime and wartime scenarios such as intelligence processing, decision-making, and simulations. Although not currently available in mainland China, experts are researching and advocating for responsible deployment of this AI system.
