Altman’s Response to Musk and Other Tech Leaders Calling for AI Pause
OpenAI's AI chatbot ChatGPT is pushing the boundaries of technology while Microsoft and Google use it in their own chatbots. Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak and other academics wrote an open letter recently asking for AI research pause which resulted in over 25,000 people signing it. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman discussed the letter at an MIT event and suggested guidelines and security measures for independent researchers while developing AI. OpenAI is at the forefront of conversation surrounding the ethical development of AI.
