Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen held a highly successful and enriching dialogue on Tuesday to discuss boosting the India-US economic and financial partnership. Ajay Banga, former CEO of financial services giant American Express, has now been appointed to the position of World Bank President. Celebrating this success, Minister Sitharaman focused on global economic challenges, including climate change and development banks, while Secretary Yellen expressed her optimism for India's climate targets.

India and the US have an important role in global progress - as partners in defence, renewable energy, education, health, tech and innovation; with Indian Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu developing the ties in 40 states of the US.
