Microsoft Fabric’s Bid to Outperform Amazon and Google in the Cloud Market

Microsoft has unveiled a new cloud data and analytics platform, Microsoft Fabric, that sets it ahead of Amazon and Google with its suite of cost-saving tools for enterprise customers. The platform features a single data lake called OneLake that accommodates all kinds of data from external sources, offering flexibility, data quality, transparency and governance. While AWS has an overall revenue lead, analysts suggest Microsoft Fabric could give it an advantage in enterprise analytics and data capability. Currently in public preview, Microsoft Fabric will add more features soon.

Asus to Provide Local AI Servers for Office Use Similar to ChatGPT Style

Asus is set to launch their rental business AI server, AFS Appliance, using an AI language model on-site to address data control issues and security concerns. The service will be powered by Nvidia chips, equivalent to OpenAI's GPT-3.5. Monthly rental prices range between $6,000 and $10,000. Initially targeting enterprise customers in Taiwan, Asus plans to expand internationally in 2023.

Its open-world approach is resonating with large enterprises like Siemens and Volvo, offering a self-guided teaching format empowering operators to absorb content seamlessly on their mobiles. The funds will expand its AI and AR verticals.
