EU lawmakers have recently finalized a 108-page AI Act proposal with provisions to regulate AI-powered chatbot systems and generative AI technologies, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT. Stability AI recently released an open-source language-model tool, StableLM, to contribute to the fast-growing large language-model ecosystem. OpenAssistant is the first open-source, instruction-based AI chatbot that provides "Conversational AI for Everyone". Created by Andreas Köpf and Yannic Kilcher, it provides a free dataset of 600,000 inputs and feedbacks, which developers can use to create contemporary AI-based applications.
