Dumme, a video editor startup that's backed by YC, raised $3.4 million in seed funding. The AI-based software helps with editing and allows creators to easily make Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels from long-form YouTube videos. Testing has shown better quality and faster edits compared to human contractors. The product has been free for testing, but businesses will be charged $0.40 per minute, or there's a monthly subscription option for smaller creators. Dumme is expected to onboard 500 people each week.
