Amazon Web Services (AWS) is joining the race to capitalize on OpenAI's popular ChatGPT technology, introducing two new large-language models, Titan, to generate text, web search personalization, summarizing content and writing blog drafts. Additionally, AWS customers can now access AI models from SenseTime, AI21 Labs, Anthropic & Stability AI through its Bedrock service. With Amazon's In-house AI hardware helping customers to reduce ML costs, its large-language models are already being used by the company's retail website & Alexa voice assistant.

This study sparks conversations on evolving relationships between children and technology. 127 children from 4 to 11 years old have judged Alexa to be more human-like than Roomba, an autonomous robotic vacuum cleaner. Conducted by developmental psychologists from Duke University (USA), the study appeared in the Developmental Psychology journal. Altogether, these findings raise interesting questions about treating AI tools ethically.
