Air India, one of the biggest airline companies owned by the Indian government, is committed to reduce 80% of its single-use plastic consumption on its flights as it celebrates World Earth Day 2021. To achieve this, the company has removed plastic water bottles from Economy Class pockets and created pour services with reusable linen bags and flowers for an eco-friendly future.

On Tuesday, an emergency situation was declared at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. According to reports, Air India flight AI858 from Pune to Delhi faced a minor crack on its windshield, resulting the urgent need for the flight to make an emergency landing with 180 passengers on board, who all arrived safely.
