. The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has set up a task force to evaluate AI program ChatGPT, with the fast-growing chatbot raising concerns about privacy, safety and jobs. Representatives from data protection authorities across Europe discussed opinions and exchanged ideas, as OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, aims to solve many problems using AI research and technology.

OpenAI, founded by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, is under investigation by the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) and the Italian Data Protection Authority (DPA) over potential GDPR violations. OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot is currently blocked in Italy but still accessible in Spain. To ensure users' rights and freedoms, the AEPD is looking for ways to ensure OpenAI's technologies, such as artificial intelligence, comply with the EU's data protection framework.
