Suspected Pentagon Leaker Outed by Steam Profile

Date:

Jack Teixeira is at the center of a major story that has caught the attention of the world. Accused of leaking classified documents, the investigation quickly turned to Teixeira’s digital footprint and traced his identity through his Steam profile which involved mentions of an Instagram account. This allowed investigators to identify Teixeira after seeing photos of the granite kitchen countertop and floor tiles mentioned in the classified documents. Teixeira faces a hearing on April 19th per the charges which have a maximum combined sentence of 15 years in prison.

The origin of Teixeira’s leaking allegedly began on a Minecraft-oriented Discord server late 2022 which then spread to other Discord servers, 4chan and Telegram. In other news, Elon Musk recently debuted his own artificial intelligence company, Parler’s new owner immediately took the social network offline and there was a remembrance for Virginia Norwood, the ‘mother’ of NASA’s Landsat program.

Instagram recently redesigned the Reels editor to make using it easier. Nominated as the first state to ban the popular app, TikTok, Montana passed an overwhelmingly supported bill requiring app stores to block the app in the state. The initiative will start 2024 and will likely face legal challenges before then. It’s argued that the app’s ties to the Chinese government puts U.S. users data at risk.

Alongside that, Apple is currently testing out a fifteen inch laptop to a guarantee compatibility with third-party App Store apps – reports of it includes a 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU, 8G RAM and the possibility of it having an M2 chipset. Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, a DLC chapter that continues Aloy’s story, had a trailer released recently and the visuals are stunning.
