Stitch, a payments service provider operating in South Africa, has recently launched a no-code payments solution called WigWag specifically designed for small businesses. This new solution aims to provide small and growing businesses with a simple and efficient way to accept local and international card payments without the need for a website or developer resources.
With the unveiling of WigWag, small businesses can now start accepting card payments within minutes by simply sending a unique payment link to customers via chat or email. Customers can easily open the link, enter their card details, and make payments hassle-free. This solution eliminates the need for complex integrations or technical knowledge.
Danielle Laity, Stitch’s product manager, emphasized that the company understands that one size does not fit all when it comes to payments. Small businesses require easy-to-use tools that can simplify and expedite the payment process. WigWag was specifically developed with these small business clients in mind, allowing them to have access to reliable payments powered by Stitch API and offer their customers a seamless payment experience.
The convenience factor of WigWag extends beyond accepting payments without a website or developer resources. Businesses can track pending payments and reconcile transactions through the provided dashboard. Additionally, they can collect delivery details during the payment process to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Furthermore, WigWag streamlines the invoicing process for businesses. Every month, businesses using WigWag receive an invoice summarizing their past month’s activities on the platform. The invoice provides the total payments received each day, the processing fees charged, the VAT on those fees, and the payouts the businesses made to themselves.
Security is a top priority with WigWag. All transactions made through the platform are performed via 3D-secure, ensuring that customers go through a multi-factor authentication process to complete their purchases. This adds an extra layer of protection for both businesses and their customers.
Stitch, established in February 2021, is a payments infrastructure company that aims to help businesses scale faster and operate more efficiently.
