Stardock has unveiled a new addition to its Object Desktop suite for Windows 10 and 11, introducing DesktopGPT, an AI-powered chatbot based on OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology.
The DesktopGPT chatbot, which features access to language models like GPT-3.5 Turbo, GPT-4, and GPT-4 Turbo, offers users a keyboard-first experience. This innovative tool allows users to seamlessly interact with various large language models to suit their specific needs.
Currently in beta, DesktopGPT can be accessed alongside other utilities in the Object Desktop suite such as Fences 5, Groupy 2, Start11, and WindowBlinds 11. Despite its cutting-edge features, DesktopGPT does not raise the suite’s price, maintaining its affordability.
Using a familiar keyboard shortcut (CTRL + SHIFT + F), users can easily launch DesktopGPT and engage with it through a floating toolbar-style interface. The chatbot operates on a text prompt basis, enabling users to automate regular tasks with the help of predefined templates or custom creations.
Object Desktop is available for $49.99 for a one-year subscription, with a current sale price of $39.99. For more information on Object Desktop and the newly introduced DesktopGPT, interested individuals can visit the Stardock website.
