SpeedyBrand, a startup co-founded by Jatin Mehta, aims to provide affordable and high-quality SEO content to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) using generative AI technology. Mehta realized that many SMBs struggle with generating organic sales online due to limited tools and resources. Employing agencies can be costly, and content creation requires significant time and money investment. To address this problem, SpeedyBrand seeks to offer a complete content marketing solution for SMBs.
The platform utilizes generative AI to create custom SEO-optimized content, including websites and social media posts, for brands. Brands can select a topic, and the platform generates text and suggests relevant images for the content. The generated content can be edited and customized using SpeedyBrand’s dashboard before it is published on various channels. Additionally, the platform provides an analytics feature that enables brands to track the performance of their published content.
Mehta highlights that SpeedyBrand is equipped to provide cost-effective marketing solutions during the economic slowdown. However, there are concerns surrounding generative AI technology. Models powered by AI sometimes produce inaccurate facts due to a phenomenon known as hallucination. There is also a risk of generating toxic and offensive remarks, as well as potential issues with plagiarizing copyrighted work.
Mehta assures that SpeedyBrand takes necessary measures to address these concerns. The platform’s AI can be personalized to match a brand’s tone, and the generated content is claimed to be plagiarism-free. Content edits and feedback contribute to improving the AI’s future output. Nevertheless, without an independent audit, it is challenging to verify these claims.
Despite the competition in the market, SpeedyBrand has managed to attract around 50 paying customers and over 1,000 users. The company’s annual recurring revenue currently stands at $100,000, with expectations to reach $1 million within the next year. Several startups, including Typeface, Copysmith, and Jasper, are also utilizing generative AI to enhance marketing copy, imagery, and video content.
The market for generative AI is growing significantly, with reports projecting it to be worth over $110 billion by 2030. Considering that almost half of SMB owners handle content marketing themselves, adopting tools that save time and resources appears to be a favorable choice. SpeedyBrand aims to provide a solution that minimizes the marketing workload for companies, allowing them to focus on their core business.
With the recent funding of $2.5 million led by GV and Y Combinator, SpeedyBrand plans to introduce additional text and image generation tools. The company’s expansion will further assist SMBs in their content creation processes.
