Snapchat Introduces Powerful Tool Similar to ChatGPT – Free for All Users

Date:

Snapchat has introduced a powerful new tool for its users free of charge at its annual developer conference. The tool, called My AI, is powered by GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), and allows users to ask factual questions, as well as to have creative conversations with the AI. My AI can also be used to join group chats and conversation, and to send photos to receive AI-generated images.

My AI was previously only available to those who had a Snapchat+ subscription and it proved to be very popular, with over two million chats already made with the AI each day. Now, Snapchat is taking it a step further by making it available to all users regardless of subscription status. The CEO of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel, commented on the feature saying that it is “an awesome creative tool” and is at the centre of the company’s future.

Snapchat is also launching tools to help creators go viral on their platform who have a minimum of 50,000 followers, at least 25 million views, and at least 10 public posts in the last month. This measure is to help snapchat creators focus on their work and reactions to their work without the worry of making money through external sources.

However, My AI had previously been criticized for giving inappropriate advice to minor users. This concern has been taken into consideration by Snapchat, with the introduction of an age restriction, making sure the AI is giving age-appropriate advice to minor users in future.

My AI was introduced with the intention of differentiating Snapchat from its rivals, Instagram and TikTok. It has proved successful in achieving this goal and is certain to become increasingly popular as users take the full advantage of what the AI offers. Jack Brody, Snap’s vice president of product commented on the development of AI and the importance of bringing it to all users: “The AI chatbot is a critical part of Snap’s future… Our focus is on private communication, but these new tools aim to split the difference”.

With My AI, Snapchat is providing users with a powerful tool to help them make the most of their conversations and interactions. The company is dedicated to helping users learn, create and to be innovative, and Snapchat is proving to be an excellent platform for achieving this.
