Snapchat has just announced a new feature: an AI chatbot powered by ChatGPT. This chatbot is available to all Snapchat users and is designed to assist them in topics such as movies, sports, pets, and beyond. The feature is tailored to the user’s preference in order to deliver the most accurate results. On Wednesday, Snapchat launched the “My AI” chatbot which initially was exclusive to Snapchat+ subscribers, but is now available to everyone.

The user may input their own content about themselves and their surroundings which the chatbot will assess in order to enhance the user’s experience. Additionally, the chatbot may access data from the Snap Map to suggest perfect lenses for the user’s photos or recommend activities for the weekend.

Although complete privacy cannot be guaranteed, any content shared with the chatbot will be kept private unless the user decides to delete it. Furthermore, the company has also implemented filters and moderation to ensure no content is inappropriate or harmful.

The “My AI” chatbot is owned by Snap Inc., a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). This company was founded in 2011 by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown, all three of whom were students at Stanford University at the time. Evan Spiegel presently serves as the CEO of Snap Inc.

Overall, this new AI feature on Snapchat is sure to offer an enhanced on-app experience to its users. With this chatbot, Snapchat users can rest assured knowing that their content is kept secure and that their conversations are moderated in order to guarantee a safe environment.
