Digital maritime technology company Sedna has recently announced the launch of an AI-driven chartering solution called Pulse. This innovative product is specifically designed to extract market data from charterers’ email inboxes, aiming to streamline the decision-making process and enhance overall efficiency.
The Founder and CEO of Sedna, Bill Dobie, emphasized the importance of digitalization in the maritime industry and identified a significant digital gap for charterers. With the constant influx of emails containing crucial information, charterers often struggle with inbox overload, hindering their ability to make informed decisions promptly.
Pulse utilizes AI technology to sift through the vast amount of data present in emails, consolidating and presenting it in a filterable overview. By offering a more accessible way to access essential market and position data, the solution enables charterers to expedite decision-making processes and feel more confident about the deals they make.
The new product has already garnered interest from global customers in the chartering space, with several trials currently underway. Additionally, Pulse will leverage tools from Sedna’s partners, including Signal, Spot Ship, and ZeroNorth, as well as integrate vessel insights from RightShip and Lloyd’s List Intelligence.
Søren Meyer, CEO of ZeroNorth, highlighted the significance of turning data into actionable insights across the global trade value chain, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between Sedna and its partners. This collaborative approach aims to drive innovation and intelligence within the shipping industry, ultimately facilitating the industry’s transition towards a more sustainable and profitable future.
