Hana Goefft, a marketing manager and TikTok influencer, recently went viral for demonstrating how to use OpenAI’s generative AI chatbot ChatGPT to prepare for job interviews. Her hack has become the talk of the town as people have leveraged this sophisticated AI technology to crack interviews and even land jobs.
ChatGPT by OpenAI is an AI-powered chatbot which helps people to quickly generate analytical pieces, letters, essays, and other creative outputs. It even helps users to generate interview questions tailored to specific job roles. By understanding the job description, ChatGPT can easily generate an appropriate set of questions for an interview.
Goefft used the AI chatbot to prompt job descriptions to generate corresponding interview questions. She also suggested that users should brainstorm answers to the generated questions and link them with key words found in the job description. Her video soon went viral, with many people praising it and thanking her for helping them to prepare for interviews.
Goefft claims that her trick works for any job. To check the authenticity of this technique, we try the same and prompted ChatGPT to generate questions related to a Senior Software Development Engineer role at Amazon. The AI chatbot served us great results with 10 generic interview questions about critical thinking, experience and even technical. We also checked with an employee from Amazon who confirmed that these questions are mostly part of the interviewing process.
Thus, it is evident that AI bots like ChatGPT is a powerful tool for job preparation. With the help of sophisticated AI technology, it is easier to anticipate the interview questions and tailor the answers accordingly. From interviews to resume creation, genereative AI can indeed be helpful for job seekers in many ways.
