In collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Ministry of Education, and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), this initiative aims to foster competition and innovation in the field of AI. The ultimate goal is to equip the next generation of Saudi innovators and coders with the necessary skills to thrive in an AI-driven world.

Recognizing the growing importance of programming and AI in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, Saudi Arabia is firmly committed to nurturing talent in these disciplines. With an estimated 300,000 students participating from a pool of 3 million potential participants across the nation, the National Olympiad truly reflects the enthusiasm of Saudi students to embrace AI and programming.

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, along with the Ministry of Education and Mawhiba, has developed this groundbreaking initiative to be inclusive and provide equal opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. This final stage will determine 35 exceptional Saudi students who will represent their nation on the international stage at the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair. Interested students who wish to participate in this transformative initiative can register through the official Mawhiba website until November 28. The competition comprises two rounds of tests, with the first scheduled for January 26 and 27, followed by the second round from April 23-27. These rounds will serve as rigorous evaluations of the participants’ skills, knowledge, and problem-solving abilities.

The National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence has received enthusiastic support from both students and professionals in the technology sector.
