Samsung has entered into a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud to incorporate advanced AI technology into its new Galaxy S24 series smartphones. This collaboration will allow Samsung to utilize Google Cloud’s generative artificial intelligence technology, specifically Gemini Pro and Imagen 2, on Vertex AI. The Galaxy S24 series will be the first smartphones to feature these innovative AI capabilities.
Gemini Pro is capable of understanding and combining various forms of information, including text, code, images, and video. Users can take advantage of the summarization feature across Samsung-native applications such as Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard. Furthermore, Samsung will benefit from crucial Google Cloud features like security, safety, privacy, and data compliance.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series users will also enjoy the advantages of Imagen 2, Google’s most advanced text-to-image diffusion technology to date. Imagen 2 will enhance the photo-editing capabilities in Samsung’s Gallery application, providing users with safe and intuitive tools.

Additionally, Qualcomm has announced that its premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform will power the latest flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra globally, as well as the Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 in select regions. This powerful chipset will enhance the smartphone’s AI capabilities, camera functions, gaming experiences, and connectivity options.
