Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon X Elite: World’s Fastest AI Chip for Laptops

Qualcomm has unveiled its latest breakthrough in laptop technology with the introduction of the new Snapdragon X Elite chip. This new offering boasts an industry-leading Neural Processing Unit (NPU) with an impressive 45 TOPS of AI workload performance, setting a new standard in the market.

Compared to its competitors, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite surpasses Intel’s Core Ultra CPUs and AMD’s Ryzen 8040 APUs in terms of AI performance. The chip incorporates a Qualcomm AI Engine with an integrated Hexagon NPU, providing 75 TOPS of AI performance across the CPU, GPU, micro NPU, and Sensing Hub.

The Snapdragon X Elite is manufactured using the cutting-edge 4nm process by TSMC and features the Arm-based Oryon CPU with 12 cores (or 10 cores for the Snapdragon X Plus). In addition to the powerful CPU, the chip includes the Adreno GPU, Hexagon NPU, and Sensing Hub, along with support for up to 64GB of LPDDR5 memory and the latest Wi-Fi and 5G technologies.

With boosted CPU speeds of up to 3.8GHz, a powerful Adreno GPU delivering up to 4.6 TFLOPs of performance, and support for high-resolution displays, the Snapdragon X Elite is set to revolutionize the laptop industry.
