Qatari students showcased their exceptional talent and skills by securing top rankings in the recent Arab Artificial Intelligence Olympiad contest held in Jordan. With a participation of 350 Arab students from schools and colleges, the competition aimed to nurture young minds in the field of technology, including algorithms, programming, computer vision, cybersecurity, data analysis, and embedded systems.
Students from five Qatari secondary schools, led by dedicated trainers and supervisors from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, made their mark at the event. Omar Bin Khattab secondary School claimed the first position in computer vision across the Arab region, while Musab bin Amir Independent Secondary School for Boys and the Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys secured the second spot in cybersecurity.
Moreover, the Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys clinched the third position in embedded systems at the Arab level, ultimately winning the Arab championship title across all categories. This remarkable achievement highlights the dedication and hard work of Qatari students in the ever-evolving field of artificial intelligence.
