China has been proactive in embracing the intelligent revolution, promoting AI innovation, and prioritizing AI security and governance. The country launched the Global AI Governance Initiative and proposed a resolution at the UN General Assembly to enhance international cooperation on AI capacity building, which was unanimously adopted. Premier Li proposed three key suggestions to enhance AI development on a global scale: deepening innovation cooperation, promoting inclusive development by bridging the digital divide, and strengthening collaborative governance to ensure the benevolence of intelligence. The Shanghai Declaration on Global AI Governance was issued during the conference, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in AI development.
With approximately 1,000 foreign guests and representatives from various international organizations, industries, universities, and research institutes in attendance, the conference highlighted the significance of working together to make AI serve global development and enhance human well-being.
