Opera, the web browser company, has unveiled “Aria”, an AI side panel powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Aria allows users to receive generative AI services for free. This feature is currently available for testing and available in over 180 countries, including the European Union.
Aria is based on Opera’s “Composer” infrastructure and is connected to OpenAI’s GPT technology. Additionally, Aria can access live web results, making it more advanced than GPT-based solutions of the past. Aria can be tested on both desktop and Android operating systems, with a free download from the Opera One browser for desktop users and the beta version of the browser from the Google Play Store for Android users.
Opera was founded in 1995 in Norway and is now a public company, with active operations spread across four continents.
