OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) company, has expanded the availability of its AI chatbot ChatGPT on Android devices in India, as well as in the US, Bangladesh, and Brazil. The announcement was made via a tweet from the company, stating that the app is now available for download and that they plan to roll out the availability to more countries in the coming week.
ChatGPT for Android offers users the ability to receive instant answers, personalized advice, and creative inspiration. The app also syncs chat history across devices and provides users with the latest model improvements from OpenAI.
Last week, OpenAI introduced a new feature called customized instructions for ChatGPT. This feature allows users to share information with the AI chatbot for future conversations. Currently in beta for Plus users, the company plans to make this feature available to all users soon.
Users can edit or delete their custom instructions at any time, and the instructions are not shared with other users. When users delete their OpenAI accounts, any custom instructions tied to their accounts will also be deleted within 30 days.
On iOS, the feature can be accessed through ChatGPT Account Settings, while on the web, users can find it by clicking on their name and selecting Custom Instructions. OpenAI has also made improvements to the history search feature and added Bing integration for Plus plan users in a recent update to the ChatGPT iOS application.
