OpenAI has recently unveiled an exciting update for its ChatGPT Plus users – the Advanced Voice Mode. This innovative feature aims to provide users with more natural and engaging conversations with the AI model.
One of the key highlights of the Advanced Voice Mode is its real-time capabilities, allowing users to interrupt the conversation at any time seamlessly. The mode also boasts the ability to sense and respond to users’ emotions, creating a more personalized and interactive experience.
To ensure privacy, OpenAI has implemented four preset voices for the output of the Advanced Voice Mode. The company has carefully trained the model to only speak in these preset voices and has put in place systems to block any outputs that deviate from them.
In addition to the Advanced Voice Mode, OpenAI is working on incorporating video and screen-sharing capabilities into ChatGPT, which is expected to be released later.
The rollout of the Advanced Voice Mode is currently in the alpha stage, with eligible ChatGPT Plus users receiving instructions via email and their mobile app. OpenAI plans to expand the feature to more users between September and November 2024.
When asked about the safety and quality of voice conversations, OpenAI assured users that they are dedicated to maintaining a high standard. This new mode marks a significant step towards providing users with a more human-like conversation experience with AI technology.
