OpenAI Chief Executive Office Sam Altman is making a tour of European cities as part of researching the optimal location for a new research and engineering office. During an interview in Poland this Tuesday, Altman commented about the possibility of setting up the office in Poland, citing that “Poland would be an interesting place.” Altman was in Poland for an event organized by the University of Warsaw, and was also able to have a conversation with the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. After Poland, Altman is scheduled to go to Paris and the UK.
Altman further discussed the recently-released mobile version of the AI tool, with which he noted had led to a small but visible bump in the company’s Pro version subscriptions. Last week at the US Senate, Altman spoke about supporting regulations to prevent election misinformation and to make sure AI-generated content is discernible to users.
