Gaming and graphics hardware giant Nvidia today released the GeForce RTX 4070, a new addition to the powerful 40-series of desktop graphics cards. The latest RTX 4070 comes with a 5888 CUDA cores, boosting up to 2475MHz, and a 192-bit bus, giving it a competitive edge in the gaming space. The card also has 12GB of DDR6X memory, 21Gbps speed, and 504GBps of bandwidth.
The GeForce RTX 4070 also supports DLSS3 frame generation, Shader Execution Reordering, and 8th Generation NVENC encoder for AV1 encoding. Compared to the Ti version, the new RTX 4070 offers a total graphics power of 200W, while the average gaming power is 186W. This card is 1.4x faster than the 3080 and 2.6x faster than the 2070 Super, making it a great choice for gamers on a budget.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 is now available in the market, with official launch starting today April 13. Its partners such as ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC are offering the card at a starting price of $599. Along with the launch, Nvidia is also offering a special Overwatch 2 Battle Pass bundle with additional OW2 coins until May 8, 2023.
Established in 1993, Nvidia has developed various technologies for graphic processing units, AI platforms, and systems on chip. Its purpose is to develop innovations that inspire gamers, professionals, and developers to create powerful solutions. With the latest GeForce RTX 4070, Nvidia has pushed the boundaries of immersive realism, helping gamers and developers to unlock the potential of gaming, AI, and ray tracing.
The GeForce RTX 4070 is based on NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture and is solely powered by the AD104 GPU. Ada Lovelace was an English mathematician and the niece of the great Lord Byron. She is renowned for her work on Charles Babbage’s analytical engine, which featured an algorithm for computing a sequence of Bernoulli numbers—the first known algorithm. This makes the RTX 4070 a fitting tribute to Ada Lovelace, a pioneer of her time.
