Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang recently delivered an exciting keynote address at the 2024 Taipei International Information Technology Show, also known as Computex. During his speech, Huang shared his vision of a new computing era that will be led by Taiwanese technology.
He discussed groundbreaking innovations that are set to revolutionize various industries, showcasing the potential of lifelike digital humans serving a multitude of roles, from nurses to interior decorators. Virtual fashion models and simulations of the entire Earth were also highlighted, showcasing the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
Huang emphasized the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping this new era, introducing concepts such as AI teams with interactive agents, advanced generative AIs mastering physics laws, and cutting-edge computer boards like Blackwell, which defy traditional computing constraints.
The CEO demonstrated the development of four new AI laptops and discussed the emergence of Physical AIs, including robots that learn to navigate the real world through virtual simulations. He highlighted the automation of moving entities and the creation of robotic factories by companies like Foxconn in Taiwan.
Despite concerns about AI and robotics impacting job markets, Huang remains optimistic about the future, envisioning a shift towards a new era of computing called the generative computing era. He expressed admiration for Taiwan’s pivotal role in driving technological advancements, referring to the nation as an unsung hero in the upcoming AI industrial revolution.
