Nokia and TIM Join Forces to Expand 5G Coverage in Brazil in 2025
Nokia and TIM Brasil (TIM) have recently announced a strategic partnership to enhance 5G coverage across 15 states in Brazil starting from January 2025. This collaboration aims to bring the advantages of secure, ultra-high-speed connectivity to a broader audience, including both individuals and businesses. As part of the agreement, Nokia will provide a range of cutting-edge equipment from its renowned 5G AirScale portfolio, including baseband, Massive MIMO radios, and Remote Radio Head products. These advanced technologies, powered by Nokia’s energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology, are designed to deliver superior coverage and capacity for enhanced connectivity.
Moreover, TIM will leverage Nokia’s intelligent MantaRay Networks Management system, which incorporates artificial intelligence functionalities, to optimize network monitoring and management. In addition to equipment supply, Nokia will offer services such as digital deployment, optimization, and technical support to ensure the seamless operation of the expanded 5G network.
