Non-profit organization Data Friendly Space (DFS) is seeking an NLP/ML Lead to provide technical leadership in developing and deploying NLP and ML solutions for the company. The position involves designing and implementing NLP/ML strategies, leading a team of engineers to develop NLP/ML models and algorithms and collaborate with other technical and business teams. The goal is to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the organization’s objectives and drive innovation.
The NLP/ML Lead will work closely with stakeholders across DFS, including business leaders, product managers, data scientists, and software engineers, to identify opportunities for NLP/ML solutions and develop strategies to leverage these technologies for business value. The NLP/ML lead should stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques and, tools.
The NLP/ML initiative is vital for DFS, which is the technical host of the Data Entry and Exploration Platform (DEEP). Humanitarians use DEEP to monitor and assess crises, enable effective analysis and identify gaps in information. DFS is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to improve information management and analysis capacity, tools and processes in the humanitarian and development community.
