Global e-commerce leader Newegg Commerce has officially launched its PC Builder ChatGPT plugin, making it the first computer shopping plugin for ChatGPT subscribers. This plugin utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to assist ChatGPT Plus subscribers in assembling PC components for their desired desktop PC. Newegg is proud to be one of the pioneering retail brands to develop a ChatGPT plugin.
The PC Builder plugin is now available on both the desktop and mobile platforms of Newegg’s GPT-4. By using the PC Builder plugin, GPT-4 users can input details about their future PC build, including component preferences, performance requirements, PC usage, and budget. GPT-4 will then generate a list of recommended PC components, complete with their names, prices, images, and links. After the components are assembled by GPT-4, users can find their PC Builder list on Newegg.com for further customization and checkout.
Earlier this year, OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Plus, a paid subscription plan that grants access to GPT-4 and additional AI benefits beyond the free ChatGPT option, which utilizes GPT-3.5. ChatGPT plugins, which enhance the capabilities of the AI program, can only be accessed by ChatGPT Plus subscribers for GPT-4 and can be found in the plugin store.

Newegg’s PC Builder ChatGPT plugin is now available in the plugin store exclusively for ChatGPT Plus subscribers. Users without ChatGPT Plus can still access PC Builder on Newegg.com or through the Newegg app. PC Builder on Newegg.com is also powered by ChatGPT.
