Nothing, a global technology brand, is gearing up to launch its second model of smartphone, Nothing Phone (2) with plans to further diversify its offline presence in the India market. After facing multiple user complaints regarding its flagship device, Nothing Phone (1), the company released ten software updates to iron out quality concerns and currently holds a rating of 4.4 on Flipkart, which is a notable improvement from its 4.2 rating. Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager of Nothing India, has assured users that their learnings from Phone (1) will be applied to Phone (2) to create an industry-leading device.
The London-based company had previously released Ear (1), a wireless earbud set, which was received well by users. Following its success, Phone (1) was launched in July 2022 and was followed by the release of Ear (2). Nothing India further plans to launch its own retail store in the upcoming year as it expands its product portfolio. With plans to manufacture more products in India, the company is investing more resources in engineering teams to develop new features.
Nothing is taking advantage of the ‘premiumisation’ trend that has gained traction with 5G adoption and is well-positioned to grow in the premium segment. The company has been on the right path in India, improving user experiences and focusing on the success of Phone (2). With the goal of providing the best user experience, the company is committed to making sure their products maintain the highest standards of quality and functionality.
