DST, T-Hub Collaborate to Launch AI-ML Hub in Hyderabad
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) and T-Hub have partnered to establish a cutting-edge Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Technology Hub (MATH) in Hyderabad. This collaboration aims to spur innovation in the field of AI, create employment opportunities, and cultivate a nurturing environment for AI and ML start-ups.
MATH is envisioned as a Centre of Excellence that is projected to generate more than 500 AI-related jobs by the year 2025 and support the growth of over 150 start-ups annually. The facility is equipped with a mini data center boasting GPU capabilities, a specialized learning management system (LMS) designed for AI education, and robust data infrastructure to cater to a wide range of AI applications.
Rahul Paith, CEO of MATH, emphasized the comprehensive offerings of the hub, including access to cutting-edge computing infrastructure, AI skilling programs, data lakes, and virtual connections to global AI networks. With state-of-the-art resources and expert guidance, MATH is poised to become a premier destination for everything related to AI and ML.
Key dignitaries including Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu Duddilla, IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, former Nasscom Chairman BVR Mohan Reddy, and T-Hub CEO Mahankali Srinivas Rao were present at the launch event. The collaboration between DST and T-Hub underscores the commitment to advancing technological innovation and fostering a conducive ecosystem for AI and ML development in Hyderabad.
