Snapchat recently released its AI chatbot, dubbed ‘My AI’, worldwide, and it is powered by OpenAI’s GPT technology. However, the bot has been receiving largely negative reviews from users, which is evidenced by the 1.67 average App Store review given in the United States, with 75% of reviews being one-star. Twitter CEO Elon Musk earns an estimated $1.2 million from the 24,700 subscribers on the platform yearly. App intelligence firm Sensor Tower reported this average, as well as an increase of five-times the amount of daily reviews for the AI chatbot.
Another app data provider, Apptopia, revealed that the term ‘AI’ is the top keyword in Snapchat’s App Store reviews and it is assigned an Impact Score of -9.2. Yesterday, on April 20th, 2023, high levels of negative ratings were revealed, with three times the amount of one-star reviews than normal.
OpenAI is a respected artificial intelligence research company dedicated to discovering and enacting the path to safe artificial general intelligence. As for the potential plans for JioCinema, Reliance Jio is reportedly planning to introduce daily, gold, and platinum subscription plans after IPL 2023. These potential subscription plans could substitute the current free services from JioCinema and the future implications will be interesting to follow.
Overall, it can be said that the global launch of Snapchat’s AI chatbot came with some negative reviews but that may turn around in time if the company takes measures to improve the feature’s performance.
