The lab, located at MTN Group’s headquarters in South Africa, will serve as a focal point for experimentation, demonstration, and skill development.
The collaboration between MTN and Huawei is designed to facilitate cross-regional partnerships and foster the creation of cutting-edge solutions that will drive the rapid deployment and adoption of innovative technologies. The newly established lab will focus on key areas crucial to Africa’s digital evolution, including 5G and 5G-A technologies, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cloud computing, FTTH (Fiber to the Home), automation, and digital financial services.
