Microsoft to Bring ChatGPT to Windows Desktop with PowerToys

Date:

Microsoft is making it easier to access its AI-powered ChatGPT service on Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs. The tech giant is preparing to integrate the OpenAI ChatGPT into Windows through its PowerToys service. It will enable users to interact with ChatGPT directly on their Windows computers and ask queries with ease.

PowerToys is an open-source service created by Microsoft with the aim of allowing developers to experiment with new ideas and bring different services and capabilities to platforms including Windows with the help of Microsoft. Now, the service will be getting a new tool, known as ChatGPT, that will bring Ai-capabilities to the Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktops.

The developer responsible for this integration is Simone Franco, the same person who developed WSATools; a tool which allows Windows 11 users to sideload Android applications without requiring complex codes. According to Franco, ChatGPT can be accessed through PowerToys Run on Windows. This will enable users to ask questions and receive responses from a more easily accessible way than accessing the ChatGPT website.

Microsoft has made it clear that it wants to integrate AI into its services and apps. They’ve started with Bing and Microsoft 365 Copilot, and now they are bringing ChatGPT to Windows. Everything indicates that this integration is just the beginning of Microsoft’s plans with AI.

The integration of ChatGPT with PowerToys is still under development. For the moment, it is not known when this feature will reach Windows users. However, it is expected that Microsoft will roll out the feature soon and make available to all users on Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop.
