Microsoft Offers Discounted ChatGPT Services to Businesses

Date:

Microsoft is looking to offer a new version of ChatGPT, its popular chatbot, that is tailored to businesses seeking to safeguard their sensitive information. This private instance of ChatGPT could cost as much as 10 times the usual cost- however, this could help avoid any data leaks that could result from using ChatGPT. The private ChatGPT would run on dedicated servers separate from its other versions, meaning the sensitive data generated by the businesses will not be used to train the language model of ChatGPT. This could offer additional protection to companies that are using ChatGPT, such as banks, health care providers, and other large organizations.

OpenAI, another company in the AI space, is also likely to offer a similar version of ChatGPT, courtesy of a multi-year investment made by Microsoft. Plus, the added advantage of Microsoft’s version is that it will be hosted on its Azure platform, rather than other platforms like Amazon Web Services.

Notably, a lot of major organizations like Verizon, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs are successfully preventing data leaks by preventing their employees from using chatbots such as Google’s Bard and ChatGPT. Through Microsoft’s private ChatGPT product, these organizations can ensure the safety of their data without having to compromise on the use of ChatGPT.
