Microsoft Increases Bing Chat Limit to 20 Per Session/200 Per Day

Date:

Microsoft has recently been pushing the boundaries of their AI-powered chatbot Bing Chat with further improvements coming in the form of increased turn limits. The company has now tested and rolled out a new allowance of 20 chat turns per session and up to 200 chat turns each day. This update was confirmed by Michael Schechter – Microsoft’s Vice President for Bing Growth and Distribution – on Twitter.

The process of increasing the turn limits is the result of Microsoft’s confidence in the performance of their new GPT-4 search AI chatbot. The latest Bing Chat was released in February this year, but since then the AI has gone through several updates, so much so that Microsoft felt comfortable enough to widen the availability of the preview and remove the waitlist that was in place.

The ability to provide richer, more engaging conversations has been further enhanced by the implementation of the DALL-E image-generating AI system which allows users to create AI images through Bing Image Creator. Together, the GPT-4 based Bing Chat and DALL-E AI-powered images are powering the constantly improving Bing search engine.

Microsoft is one of the world’s leading companies in the tech industry, with products ranging from software and hardware for personal, business, and even educational purposes. Aside from Bing, Microsoft offers a variety of tools and services including the Office Suite and Azure cloud services. The company was co-founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975 and is now run by Satya Nadella, who maintains a strong ambition for further developing innovative and accessible products for everyone.

Schechter has been a major driver behind Bing Chat’s development and his drive to give users more chances to benefit from the AI-tech can be seen in the increased turn limits mentioned above.
