Microsoft Empowers Businesses to Utilize ChatGPT for Their Own Data Analysis

Microsoft has introduced new functionality that allows enterprises to feed their proprietary data and user queries into OpenAI’s GPT-4 or ChatGPT in Azure to generate custom models. The functionality, which is available via the Azure OpenAI Service, negates the need for fine-tuning AI models and has been a much-requested feature from customers. When a user sends a query to Azure, the cloud assesses what internal corporate data is required to complete the request, combines the question and data into a single query before sending it to the OpenAI model, which predicts an answer. The result is then sent back to the user. This service can integrate with any corporate data stored locally, in the cloud, or at the edge. Azure OpenAI Service also contains a range of data processing tools and connectors to help enterprises extract insights that can be used in AI models. However, factors such as the use of external models may lead to corporate data leaks into the public domain.
