Microsoft Edge: Are You Fed Up with Bing AI? Changes Coming Soon

Date:

Fed up with Bing AI? You may not like the incoming update to Microsoft Edge with the addition of a ChatGPT-powered Bing chatbot to the right-click context menu. Leopeva64, a leaker on Twitter, discovered this feature in the testing version of the Edge browser, Canary Channel.

The Bing AI’s chatbot feature can be activated with a few simple steps. When a user selects some text from the web page, they can click on the right-click context menu and then click on ‘Ask Bing Chat’. This will initiate a query on the selected text using Bing AI and proceed to open a chatbot in the side panel which can then be used to conduct a session as usual.

This change is set to entrench the Bing AI even deeper into Microsoft’s applications and Windows 11. Recent weekend improvements have seen improved capabilities for travelling and recipes making Microsoft’s chatbot take the lead on rivals such as Google Bard. Microsoft is set to take advantage of this and use Bing AI wherever they can while trying hard to not make users feel like their interface is cluttered with too many options.

Microsoft is a multinational technology corporation with headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Famous for its Windows product line, Microsoft also produces hardware, delivers services, develops and licenses compute platforms and productivity applications.
Leopeva64 is a social media leaker known on Twitter. He was the first to spot the change coming in Edge with the addition of a chatbot powered by Bing AI. He has also posted leaks regarding a number of Microsoft products such as the Surface Duo.
