She reflected on Meta’s humble beginnings in Ireland in 2009, when it initially started with just 25 employees. Today, Meta boasts over 2,000 employees from 110 different nationalities across its various locations in Ireland. O’Leary highlighted the inclusivity and diversity of the new campus, which is designed to foster a vibrant culture of collaboration and innovation.
The opening of the Dublin Ballsbridge Campus aligns with Meta’s recent product launches. Just this month, the company unveiled the Quest 3, its first mass-market mixed reality headset, and the next generation of Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. These cutting-edge technologies demonstrate Meta’s commitment to advancing the realms of artificial intelligence and immersive experiences.
Meta’s financial results for the third quarter of 2023 were also released, revealing a total revenue of $34.1 billion (€32 billion), a remarkable 23% increase compared to the previous year.
