Car enthusiast Michal Costin has used the AI chatbot ChatGPT to modify his four-year-old Skoda Superb, increasing its value by $60,000. The digital marketing specialist claims to have transformed his $40,000 Skoda into a supersport vehicle rivaling the $130,000 Audi RS3. Mr. Costin gave ChatGPT a detailed prompt and a budget of $20,000, requesting improvements to the car’s performance, sound, and exterior appearance. ChatGPT suggested changes to the engine, exhaust, brakes, tyres, and suspension. After modifications totaling $14,000, Mr Costin claims his Skoda now compares in value to vehicles in the $100,000 price range. He says he enjoys driving his modified car as much as any of the higher-priced alternatives he previously considered purchasing.
