Ihor Stefurak is an entrepreneur with a vast background in Ukraine’s startup ecosystem. He decided to take on a project alongside a technology known as ChatGPT. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has grown extensively in the tech industry and OpenAI’s ChatGPT is one of the most powerful conversation AI chatbots around. It is used by developers to build and code any form of solution with the help of its vast database.
Ihor and his team partnered up with ChatGPT and were able to build a Chrome extension even though none of them had any prior coding knowledge. They listed the extension up for pre-order and received $1,000 out of it in just 24 hours. Later, they received five bids of which they sold the extension last week on Acquire.
How did ChatGPT help them achieve this? Ihor basically asked the same to step into an experiment, but with no knowledge of programming, wrote a code for a simple Chrome extension using ChatGPT`s pre-defined prompts. He created a command “/ai” that triggered the AI assistant to execute. This assistant was able to monitor any text boxes on the website and get the task done.
He later upgraded to the premium version of ChatGPT – ChatGPT Plus which allowed them to achieve more complicated queries. Through this project, the team was able to write 3 JavaScript files that included a manifest.json file which made the extension compatible with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
The AI chatbot made sure the testing, spotting errors and making revisions of its answers were done in 10 hours. Ihor was surprised as this project was initially a fun experiment. He was able to construct a successful project with the help of ChatGPT, he recorded a demo of how the extension works and tweeted it which led to its viral growth and getting extraordinary pre-order.
ChatGPT is a great tool to build and code any sort of software solutions, even if the individual has no coding knowledge. AI chatbot proved to be a great partner and undoubtedly saved Ihor plenty of time and effort. Ihor Stefurak showed that ChatGPT can be used to create useful and innovative products for the Chrome browser platform. His success motivates other entrepreneurs to use ChatGPT for helping to build projects and create amazing products.
